Whiplash - The Cowboy Monkey Rides!

Whiplash is an old time cowboy. He was just born 100 years to late.  When you see him ride, it is not hard to envision him leading a wagon train west – keeping the herd in line as they cross the prairie.  He really enjoys feeling the leather of his custom-made saddle and experiencing the wind in his face and the sun in his eyes as he maneuvers his trusty steed over the mounds of grassland and through the rushes or in an exhibition arena under the watchful eyes of thousands of adoring fans.  In the tradition of Roy Rogers and the Lone Ranger, he is at home in the saddle. He has the pride, attitude and style found among those pioneers of the old west.  If you listen closely you may hear him give his trusty ride a piece of his mind if the maneuvering response falls short of what he expects of a well mannered steed.  It’s a fun thing for the gallant rider.  If you watch closely, you can easily see the smile on his face.

It is this attitude and style that has made Whiplash, the Cowboy Monkey”, the most recognized name in professional rodeo. When Whiplash is performing at rodeos and other events, each eye in the audience---be it children or older folks---is glued to the experienced, fearless rider as the showman he is reacts calmly to take charge and round up the wild Barbados sheep and pen them.  It lets his fans flash back to Saturday morning movie theater or television westerns. Folks join Whiplash in their mind’s eye and follow his every move as they cheer him on in his quest. It’s as satisfying experience for young and old alike to revel in his excitement and obvious enjoyment of showmanship.

From birth it was apparent that Whiplash was meant to bring a smile to millions of faces.  His riding skill is unchallenged, pulling the saddle from side to side and exhibiting riding expertise by hanging off one side mimicking a classic Indian hideaway. At each performance, audiences find themselves on their feet-cheering Whiplash on as he rounds up the sheep. And, when it’s over, a hand shake is all Whiplash needs for another job well done.  He is pleased for himself and has definitely satisfied the admiring fans who sometimes travel great distances to witness Whiplash’s riding skills and enjoy his antics.
